This year, we had one party after another to celebrate Halloween, and we felt like we spent half the month dressed in costumes.
It all started with the Brown's Halloween party, which was amazing and crazy!

Rob and I never got our picture taken together, but we were 70's disco dancers. Rob got home from work just in time to head to the party, so he's the Disco Doctor. The Dr. is IN!
The picture below is the Brown family, who hosted the party. Allison (Wonder Woman) really is wonder woman, and is a professional artist and super creative. They were the Super Squad (Allison made all the costumes).
I should have taken more pictures of the house, it was completely decked out!
She had a family scavenger hunt with riddles to find letters hidden on her decorations.
It was a super, fun idea and we all had a great time.
The Dad's Doughnut eating contest. Rob wasn't in this time, which was good for the other guys since he often wins.

We brought eyeball cupcakes as our spooky food.
Allison had me bring all my Halloween music, and asked if I could lead some dances. Thriller was the most fun!
Sterling was Curious George, which was very appropriate. He's a curious, little monkey.
Ellie and Dad got to go to a Daddy Daughter Halloween party for Activity Days.
They carved a pumpkin together, had dinner and played games. We need to get Rob some more costumes, but Ellie was such a cute witch it's no question she's a good witch not a bad witch. I think we'll call her Glenda.
Ryan has been sporting a crooked front tooth all month, and he won't let anyone touch it even though the new tooth is already growing in behind it. Maybe I'll resort to bribing him to let me floss it out.
Trevor had a Preschool Halloween party, and decided he wanted to be a clown since we were given a clown costume in his size.
He was a cute, silly clown!
The following day, Trevor went back to the leopard outfit (but this time with a broken leg from the night before) for the Ward Halloween Party.
Ryan has a new best buddy at church whose name is Ryan too!
They also wore the same costume to the Halloween party!

Ellie has auch a cute group of girl friends in her activity days class. They are really good girls and good friends.
We served our 'potion' for the Trunk or Treat. (Our traditional homemade root beer with dry ice). I would tell the kids,"You can have a drink if you dare....but you don't know what you'll turn into!" It was fun. We let the kids bubble the last of the dry ice when we got home from the party.
I was also able to make my white, chicken chili for the chili cook off. And it even kind of tasted good to me even while being very sick with pregnancy nausea.
The kids had a lot of fun trick-or-treating the neighborhood on Halloween night. I have never seen a neighborhood more into Halloween then ours is. It was wild! Not only tons of kids, so may you had to wait in lines to walk up to some houses, but every other house was decked out in decorations and lights!
There is even a house that broadcasts Halloween music, and you can tune in on your radio and their light show goes to the music! It's pretty incredible. It's just down the street from our house. I found a few Youtube videos people have posted of it, here's one if you want to check it out:
We stopped by a few times to watch the show. We're excited because we heard they do it at Christmas too!

Trevor, a.k.a. Hiccup from "How to Train Your Dragon."
Trevor was a trooper riding on the stroller with his broken leg while Trick-or-treating. While I was putting on his costume I realized that Hiccup looses his leg at the end of the movie, and has to make an artificial leg for himself. I told Trevor, "It's perfect that your Hiccup, because Hiccup broke his leg too!" Trevor thought it was so great. He kept saying, "Mom, it's perfect that I'm Hiccup because he had a broken leg too!"
Our little curious George monkey wanted to wear this cowboy hat for Trick-or-treating, so he got to wear Ryan's cowboy costume.
He didn't make a very rough cowboy, he's all sugar.
Sterling kept telling people, "Happy Halloween!" He was adorable.
Sterling got one treat and was happy making a sticky mess of himself eating it the rest of the time Trick-or-treating.
The day after Halloween Ellie and Ryan sold their candy to a dentist in our ward for a dollar a pound. It was awesome! They have money in their pocket for Christmas presents, and we got rid of the candy. :) Trevor held his bag in limbo, trying to decide whether to sell or not. Finally he said he would sell one piece. I told him I would buy his candy at home instead since he wasn't sure.
