Christmas Cookies for Family Night

I'm playing blog catch-up because Walking Pneumonia wiped me out for over a month in December.
At least Rob was around a little more over the holidays so I could get some much needed rest.
It sure made me feel grateful to be healthy once again!
One of our favorite family nights in December was the night we made and decorated Gingerbread cookies.
I think Ellie was more than a little excited about it.
Ryan put on his pajamas from last year, and they were too small!
We had to take pictures to document how much he's grown in one year.
Of course he loved hamming up the moment.

Everyone got to roll out and cut out their own shapes.
Christmas music made the experience all the better.
Then we had our music and lesson time while the cookies cooled and we enjoyed the smell of gingerbread filling the house (one of my favorite smells of all time!).
Decorating them was our activity, and eating them was our tasty treat.
Simple, and super fun!
Ellie always asks to have a turn with the camera these days.
It makes her feel grown up...
and we get more pictures of Mom and Dad.

December Week 1

Sterling turned 10 months!
 His absolutely all-time favorite game,
Peek-a-boo.
Trevor enjoyed a play date with Kevin Rigby.
They were super heroes the whole time.
Trevor is saying the most precious and funny things these days.
Mom: "How are you, Trevor?" Trevor: "Goodies!"
Mom: "Do you want to go downstairs with me?" Trevor: "Yuperoozers!"
Trevor: "Mom, I love you infinity and beyond!"
Ellie went to school with a wiggly tooth, and came home without it!
She said her friend said, "Ellie, your tooth is hanging by a thread!"
and then she wiggled it, and it fell out in her lap!
 Lolly Mom helped put together
Young Women in Excellence
to celebrate the achievements of the Canton Ward Young Women this year.
The wonderful women I work with (Gina Moss, Cheryl Johnson, and Adrienne Gillis) all pulled together their genius and creativity and it was a wonderful night.
We had the
"Emma Awards"
Hors D'oeuvre's
The girls each came up to get their "Emma Award" and Sister Gillis gave a wonderful talk about Emma Smith.
My part in it was making a slide show of the things the girls did during the year.
More cute pictures of Ster Baby, who is growing up way to fast!
He is so full of fun personality, and has such a happy disposition.
We are enjoying him so much!
He is our family puppy now, crawling around on hands and knees instead of the army scoot.
Trevor wanted me to take his picture too.
Peanut Butter Sandwich face.

We started our Christmas countdown this week, which is a wonderful tradition for our family.
We read and sing by the Christmas tree, and this year we had a fun countdown each night on the computer from Grandma Soulier as well.

I also started a second Zumba teaching job at the Canton Curves!
It's super fun, and the timing worked out really well.
I teach two early morning classes, so it doesn't interfere with our family life which is great.
