Feelin' the Love, Valentines Week

 The week leading up to Valentines began with loving some math game time with these two. 

They have my heart. :-)

 

  We finished getting the kids all ready for their Valentine exchanges at school on Tuesday!

Brenna gave out Bubbles and fruit snacks with a note,

"Your sweet friendship blows me away!"

 Sterling gave out a minion and a fruit snack with his notes,

"You're one in a minion friend!"

 Ellie learned about chocolate and heat this week...the hard way.

She glue gunned rolos into a tinfoil mess in an effort to make Valentines for her class and then made chocolate chop cookies...accidentally putting the oven on 450 degrees instead of 350. :-/
Comedy of errors...

 She ended up buying some mentos gum on the way to school and telling her friends,

"We were Ment-to be friends!"

Haha...

 Sterling learned about Russia and made Russian nesting dolls in class.

 Ryan got ready for his State report on Utah!

 We had a fun trip to the library with our friend Cannon and saw their new giant bug statue display. Yikes!

Tuesday Night was Young Women New Beginnings.
Ellie helped plan and prepare everything for it for one of her Personal Progress 10 hour projects. 

She also spoke on Integrity and Lolly spoke as the Young Women Personal Progress Leader, explaining the program and how it works online especially for the girls coming in this year and their parents. 

Cute dessert...feast upon the word...cereal with scriptures. Clever!

Sterling got a Lego set in the mail from Grandpa Soulier for his Birthday and it was the first one he put together completely by himself! I love his proud face.

And I love his Pirate face!

Sterling and Trevor tried out a gymnastics class for the first time!
They loved it!

I love that these two make creations out of boxes after I go to Costco.
This week Sterling made a well but then he turned it into a truck.

He also said, "Look, this is a great way to sleep on an island!"

Love this creative, clever kid!

Friday we had the Braatz kids over for the whole day!
They had the day off school and their parents were out of town.
Jon was my workout buddy, I biked and it was his first time on the treadmill.

Becca and Ellie were homework buddies.

I painted Lilly and Brenna's nails pink for Valentines! Darling ladies.

We got the whole crew of kids out to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather and an incredible sunset! I stopped by with some roses for Valentines to my sweet friend Tiffany who I visit teach and she came to the park with us! It was lovely. We took some Sunset selfies because it was so glorious and it ended up being just a selfie without the sunset. I guess my arms aren't long enough!

Friday Night Rob and I went dancing for our Valentines Date!
It's seriously been over a decade since we've been out dancing together. Crazy!
We learned to Rumba and dusted off our Lindy Hop moves.
It was such a classy place! I loved watching the people there dance so many different styles so well.
Loved it and love my man. 

Saturday was such a fun family day!

It started with a beautiful spring bike ride to the park!
Check out these amazing blossoms everywhere!
I'm sure you can guess what song Brenna was singing the whole way there. 

We had the ultimate
Ultimate Frisbee Game
It was seriously a blast with some epic catches.

We also made up team victory dances.

This is our favorite thing to do together and it was a morning to remember for sure.

In the afternoon we headed out to the
Sleep Train Arena with the kids' tickets to Frozen on Ice that they got for Christmas.

Our little Anna was absolutely enthralled. 

Pizza at the park on the way home too!
Ellie has been babysitting every weekend, sometimes twice and turning down multiple offers, of  course Valentines weekend was a busy one for her.

Valentines Breakfast was fun, making each other notes with conversation hearts.

It says Best Boy!

I love my Valentine more every day.

Sterling came in with this sweet note for me. 

Man, I'm lucky.

Sadly Brenna tripped outside and cut her eyebrow on the propeller swing. 

We are grateful to have a doctor in the house always, and especially when we need doctoring.
It could have had stitches, but she was brave and sweet and let Dad steri strip it. 

She's a tough one!
