and it's fun for the whole family to watch and celebrate with her.

He went with his best friend, Tyler, and they had a great time. He also made a spinning circuit, a battery bug, and a robotic hand. He's our Engineer in training.

Trevor and all the kids got to go to a big birthday party at a Rocklin splash pad for Paige Deburgh! It was fun and the perfect thing to do on a 105 degree day to stay cool.
Last week was Ellie's first week of Ballet Intensive. Mr. Keith and Mr. Cosmeade who came from Boston to teach the camp, are her teachers. She also is taking from a guest teacher, Mr. Mark, who teaches in Berlin, Germany during the year and sounds like President Uchtdorf when he talks. :) She enjoyed time with her dance friends Maya, Jillian, and Aviana. She said she liked practicing how to do grande jete and developpe. We'll get pictures of her in her cute combos of dance outfits this next week since Ballet intensive is every day for two weeks.
We had Eric Smith and Mark Knoakes over for dinner because their families are out of town this whole month visiting relatives. The guys played catch and basketball in the shaded backyard after dinner while I took Ryan to scouts. We are loving the backyard on summer evenings! Rob was awesome to hustle at work and get home on time last week, and we enjoyed time in our backyard after work. Brenna loves to ride the wiggle car around and the boys play ball. Simple Joys.

Ellie, Ryan and Trevor had Piano Recital Parties
with our awesome piano teacher Natalie Smith last week!
They performed their pieces for other piano students, had root beer floats, played a piano game, and learned things about all different kinds of musical instruments.
They also watched piano guys videos. :)
Mom and Dad had a great date out to Ruen Thai, window shopping at Home Goods, and to Baskin Robbins for ice-cream cones.

Calcutta Waterfall is a 40 foot drop, but it's a very narrow stream of water.
It's beautiful, and the boys loved taking of their shoes and wading in the water.

On the hike back up to the car, the American River was sparkling so beautifully.
We watched four river otters diving for fish! It was neat to watch.
