This week has been action packed,
from door bell ditching to concerts we haven't had a night at home all week!
Ryan submitted his Fire and Ice Lego fort that he's been building for about two months to Lego.com's competition. We also made a video explaining the details of his build you can see on youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/
We had only boys in the Primary Program this year!
Ellie was in it last year, and Brenna will be in it next year.
They did a wonderful job! Ryan sang a duet with Ryan Braatz, they sang the second verse of "I Know that my Savior Loves Me" Trevor with three other boys the 6th verse of Follow the Prophet. It was wonderful to see Sterling singing all the songs and doing his part at the microphone! Even though he was in Sunbeams he was too nervous to go up and do the program last year, so this was his first one participating and he loved it.
Brenna wore this pink dress for the first time that was made by Lolly's Mom, Grandma Jello, for Ellie for Lolly's brother's wedding 10 years ago! Here's a picture of Ellie in the dress. Time flies!!
Playing in the leaves some more, but this time our clever kids thought of putting goggles on to protect their eyes from the leaves! We took some fun slow motion videos of them throwing leaves in the air.
We went on a Sunday walk to our favorite tree (below) and enjoyed a beautiful orange sunset!
Our kids wanted to make cookies and go phantoming, dropping cookies on our friends doors and ringing and running.
We made the cookies and a big flour mess in the morning.
Since we're eating cheese again we had cheese sandwiches for the first time in a long time, Sterling celebrated by breaking the family record for longest string cheese stretch!
We frosted cookies and delivered them for family night!
We turned on Sterling's action music from the movie Cars 2 to add to the effect. ;)

Apple cider, cinnamon rolls, and apple muffins were a fun fall snack!
These huge pumpkins, the tunnel and the Long Horn Steers make the train ride a real fall adventure.
Last we headed out on the hay ride to pick out our pumpkins.

Brenna learned about butterflies at Preschool. Cute bug.
Trevor worked hard to finish his Coast Guard boat for the Rain Gutter Regatta!
He won the second bracket of racers and had a lot of fun.
Brenna was invited to go on a girl's night to watch
DISNEY ON ICE DARE TO DREAM
with her best friend Allison.
She said she is already a Princess and she was enthralled the entire time!
We got to sit in a box, eat popcorn and apples and enjoyed a great view!
They had enough tickets, so Ellie got to come too!

What goes around comes around! We delivered Halloween sugar cookies and two other families delivered some to us this week! ;)
Brenna had Allison over for a manners lesson and a Fancy Nancy Tea Party.
Sterling and Mom had a fun date to the Fountains!
We watched the fountain show and Sterling danced to the music.

He loves pulling faces in pictures, so I said I would copy him.

Friday night Ellie, Ryan and Trevor went with the Braatz Family
to watch their family in their school choir concert and we kept their little two for some fun at home. :)

Saturday started with washing each other's faces through the glass while cleaning the Stake Center.
Trevor showed me his testimony on the Primary Bulletin Board.
It took us until October to use the Folsom Symphony tickets Rob gave me for Christmas last year, but it was worth the wait! A busy family Saturday required us to skip out on the Italian restaurant plan and eat Habit Burgers in the car in the way (new favorite burger place!).
'Music of the Masters' included some of our favorites, "Pictures at an Exhibition" and "Fanfare for the Common Man" and a new favorite with guest artist, Alon Goldstein, playing Brahms greatest masterpiece, "Piano Concerto #1 in D minor."
Wow! It was inspiring and relaxing as well. The Stereotypical conductor (lanky, hump back, gray wild hair, big grin, overly dramatic) made it even more entertaining. 😆💗
